Integrated Report Project | Terna 2012

Our path towards <IR>

Our "Integrated Report Project 2012" makes further progress towards an innovative, concise, transparent and complete representation of Terna's performance.

The IIRC's <IR> framework

The <IR> framework is a tool developed by the IIRC to facilitate the company report integration process.

A prerequisite for the framework is integrated thinking that ascertains, in turn, integrated decision-making processes able to understand and make use of all the connections between the various elements - economic, financial, environmental and social - which, in an enterprise, contribute to the creation of value in the short, medium and long term.

The Business model and the Capitals

The business model is the system that a company adopts to manage the potential of each type of Capital (input), and to direct the company's operations towards the production of products and services so as to create value in the short, medium and long term.

The Guiding Principles

The Integrated Reporting proposed by the IIRC is formulated around 6 guiding principles that steer the content and how it is presented.
